So here’s how my “Enchanted Garden Wedding” turned out for the Seattle Wedding Expo January 14th & 15th – I loved the colors – 800 hot pink & orange garden roses – the fragrance was heavenly… Do you think it lived up to my inspiration board?
OK so now I’m obsessing about the Seattle Wedding Expo January 14th & 15th – working on an “Enchanted Garden” theme, filled with 800 pink & peach garden roses, platinum sparkly accents, moss green linens and tons of moss and vintage chandelier crystals…
I have collected 100 year old doors & windows as ceremony elements, and antique, tarnished creamers, sugars & teapots to hold all the garden roses…
Kind of a vintage, funky, enchanted garden – what do you think?!?
Oooooh – I’m getting exciiiiiteeeed – it’s almost time for the Seattle Wedding Expo Jan 14 and 15!! Here are a few pics of previous wedding shows:
I was soooo nervous about doing the “Pure Imagination ” wedding show for the first time – had never done this show before and didn’t want to create something that didn’t “fit” and look like an idiot…
Top it all off with the fact that I just didn’t “get” the theme I was assigned – “New York Picnic” – ugh… visions of highrises and sandwiches wrapped in cutsie paper…
I ran around in a panic buying multitudes of vintage picnic baskets, grapes and brie – apple pies and breadsticks – and ended up using none of it.
So I kind of threw the theme out the window, and decided to create an enchanted garden in New York instead – garden roses, succulents, a tree-like centerpiece, shiny platinum accents & sparkling crystals.
And I was inspired to make a table that was covered ENTIRELY in fresh springy moss – would people think I was nuts?!?
But of course everyone oohed and ahhed, and I got these fabulous photos. Loved it…
Here are some photos from the Tacoma Dome Spring Wedding Expo – Did I mention I LOVE wedding shows? I start dreaming and planning at least 4 months in advance.
My goal is for you to see an inspiring display of what “could be” for your wedding day. Brides love to walk in and just stand and take in all that lush, flowery gorgeousness.
At the WW I decorated the Pacific Grill. Their bartender is a great big RAINBOW full of wonderful…
Here are some photos of the trunk show at The Elegant Bride – I just LOVE the owners Irina and Steve, and all the ladies who work there are just wonderful.
Each bride was given a beautiful long stemmed rose as a special thank you for participating in the trunk show.
See all those photos on the wall behind the roses? Those are thank you notes photos, and rave reviews from all the happy brides who found their dream gown here…
Oh, and if you happen to like sparkly things – The Elegant Bride has a DAZZLING selection of absolutely GORGEOUS jewelry, tiaras, and accessories for your special day! (Did I mention I’m easily distracted by shiny objects?)
What fun – I got to participate in a trunk show at Brides by Demetrios in Bellevue. Wow what gorgeous gowns! Wonderful people – they were all so gracious, welcoming and helpful. They “ooh’ed and ahh’ed” over my flowers and made such a fuss.
